Overall: 39 x 29 x 29 1/2 in. ( 99.1 x 73.7 x 74.9 cm )
Sack-back Windsor writing-arm chair; seven tapered spindles, large upward-tilting writing arm on three ring-and-vase-turned supports; elliptical seat with central peak at front edge; raked, vase-turned legs with side and medial stretchers.
According to Nancy Goyne Evans, author of "American Windsor Chairs," the particular figure of the high back arch, bunched spindles, the shape of the seat, and the double taper of the seat suggests that this chair was made in Rhode Island.
