Reverse bears inscription within raised central panel surrounded by allegorical figures, torches, and image of ship: "WORLD'S.COLUMBIAN.EXPOSITION/IN.COMMEMORATION.OF.THE/FOUR.HUNDREDTH.ANNIVERSARY/OF.THE.LANDING.OF.COLUMBUS/.MDCCCXCII .
