Reverse depicts allegorical female figure of Columbia, draped in a shroud, leaning agains shield with Presidential eagle; inscription at right, with laurel branch emerging from wreath beneath: "INAUGURATED/PRESIDENT.OF.THE/UNITED.STATES/MAR.4.1897/
