Dark blue or black wool 3-pocket hand made waistcoat; 3/4" open stand-up collar; 9 buttons down the front, buttons cast with shield-breasted eagle with "I" at the center; back made of brown twill-weave cotton, with 2 straps at the small of the back which fasten at the center to metal buckle with double-tongued chape; lined with white twill-weave cotton.
