Two Vultures with Deer Head

Object Number:
Z.3326
Medium:
Sanguine chalk and graphite on paper
Dimensions:
Overall: 7 1/2 x 9 1/4 in. ( 19 x 23.5 cm )
Description:
Z.3326 is a reduction from the large watercolor for Havell Plate no. 106 or its print, possibly with the camera lucida, but is not directly preparatory for the lithograph in the octavo edition as it is larger since the octavo measures 10 3/4 x 6 7/8 in. It may be an intermediate stage, however, or a practice run, perhaps by John Woodhouse. It is not by Havell.
