Description:
Dark blue wool artillery trousers with red piping on the sides of the legs, from beneath side-seam pockets to hem; 6 button fly; 6 buttons around outside of waistband; watch pocket on the waistband to the right of the fly; no rear pockets, 2 straps at the back beneath waistband which fasten at the center to metal buckle with double-tongued chape; waist and pockets lined with white cotton.

These trousers were worn by Walter S. Poor, Sr. (1836-1906), while he served with Artillery in the Civil War.
