Description:
Circular black silk pouch or bag; embroidered on front with crossed flags: a Confederate flag with white background and red bars, and an American-type flag with three stripes and eight stars; below is shield with two red and one white stripe, and stars against blue background.

This bag was probably made for a Kentucky soldier serving with the Confederate Army during the Civil War.
