Description:
Bronze struck medal with obverse showing group of men and women, founders of Connecticut, dominated by Thomas Hooker and his wife, Susannah (shown seated); legend on scroll running from center of medal to right: "1635-1935 CONNECTICVT 300 YEARS." Reverse shows transplanted grapevines of the State Seal supported by three vertical columns inscribed, from left to right: "RELIGION, "LAW," and "EDUCATION," with motto below on scroll: "QUI TRANSTULIT SUSTINET"; legend: "THREE CENTURIES OF SELF-GOVERNMENT BASED ON CONSTITUTIONAL LIBERTY."
