Silver teaspoon with a downturned double-swell fiddle handle with a short midrib on the underside and a machine-engraved eagle above a swastika in a circle on the front; flared shoulders and a pointed oval bowl; maker's mark stamped on the underside of the handle.
This spoon is from the official flatware set made for Nazi leader Dr. Hans Frank (1900-1946). Frank was Hitler's personal lawyer prior to 1933 and later became Reich Minister of Justice. After he fell out of favor with Hitler, he was sent to Poland and served as Governor General. Frank was hanged as a war criminal in 1946.
