Marks: 
Body of teapot has two hallmarks rendered in Japanese characters stamped at side to left of handle. Hallmarks are very difficult to read, although second includes name "Japan".
Description: 
Small brown and white marbleized teapot with handle positioned at 45 degree angle to short scrolled spout, and small circular lid with knob finial; handle has metal ring attached at end and is pierced along body. Lid has attached ceramic finial which rotates. Grade of porcelain is very thin.
Gallery Label: 
Thin grade of porcelain appears to be marbleized imitation of European agateware. Pattern is very unusual for Japanese export ceramics.
