Description:
Seamed and cast silver teapot in the Japanese style; flat, smooth finished cylindrical body; applied, stylized, silver bamboo appliques set on both sides of the body at angles; two die-rolled decorative floral bands applied around the curved sides and base; set into a cast, rectangular pedestal with scallops in the center of each side and four square feet; square cast spout with hand hammered geometric scroll decoration in a band around the center and along the joint seam; curved tapered spout with hand-hammered geometric decoration fitted with ivory insulators; loop lower handle socket and a trapezoidal flange; upper socket decorated with geometric appliques; hinged, rectangular lid, flat at the edges and raised to a low rectangular dome in the center; loop handle finial; makers' marks on the base.
