Description: 
Spun silver teakettle-on-stand with a burner; squat, inverted pear-shaped body on a plain, vertically applied footring; applied, Greek-key band around the center; lid hinged on the side, raised in the center to a turned wooden knop finial; slightly curved spout with a heart shaped lip, gadrooning around the base gathered to an oval terminal; three part bail handle, center wooden; handle pivots on cast hinges attached to the body with heart-shaped joints; kettle joins to the stand with cylindrical hinges, half on the base of the kettle, half on the top of the molded and stepped circular stand; stamped Greek-key border around the edge; four cast rat-tail scrolled legs with a leaf in the center of each knee; curved and pointed skirts between each leg with foliate scroll punch work and applied, cast bead borders; round hook on the reverse attaches to two chains holding cylindrical hinge pins; cylindrical burner with a cotton wick; engraved, "J P F" in script below the lid hinge; makers' marks on the base of the kettle.
