Red wool replica of 1810-1815 British officer's double-breasted tailcoat, with 2 1/8" closed stand-up collar (3 sets hooks and eyes), collar covered with silver colored gilt trim, lined with black silk; metal attachments at the shoulders for epaulettes, 5 sets of double buttons down one side (opposite side missing buttons), closed false cuff sleeves with 4 buttons against gilt ground, false cuffs lined with black silk, 3 panels across the back of the bodice, with 2 buttons near the center at the waistline, insignia at the bottom of each tail with a crown at the top of wreath of oak leaves with a structure at the center on red ground; all buttons silver colored, cast with a crown with "T H (?)" beneath; bodice lined with cotton, breast lightly padded and quilted, waistband lined with red leather with metal clasp buckle at the center front, tails lined with white wool felt with a pocket on each tail near the waistline.
