Description:
Three silver tablespoons with downturned rounded-end handles with short back midribs and pointed oval bowls with tapered drops; handles engraved, "BMW" in bright-cut script; maker's marks stamped on the underside of the handles.
Gallery Label:
These tablespoons, along with a mug, beaker and a set of teaspoons, were purchase from John Vernon by Benjamin White in 1794. The bill of sale for these objects is also in the collection of the New-York Historical Society.
