Description:
silver tablespoon with an upturned handle with a short, splayed midrib on the front and the engraved initials, "S S" in block letters; elliptical bowl with a long, slashed drop; maker's marks stamped on the underside of the handle.

According to the donor, this tablespoon belonged to Sarah Sanders, the mother of the founder of Glen, New York.
