Description:
Naval cutlass with slightly curved, single-edged steel blade with broad fuller; half-basket guard made of unperforated sheet brass riveted to cast brass knuckle-bow and counter-guard; black painted cast metal grip with molded ridges; helmet-shaped pommel without surface decoration; tassel on strip of gold metallic cloth tape attached to grip; leather scabbard with riveted back seam and circular brass frog stud on obverse.
