Dress sword with straight, evenly tapered triangular blade with etched designs on a ground of blue enamel and gilding covering about 8 inches of blade below hilt; pierced, biloded counter-guard made of gilded brass, with an oval medallion with portrait bust in profile on each lobe; pas d'ane flanking oval medallion surrounded by piercing; oval medallions at center of knuckle-bow (both sides) surrounded by piercing; pierced globular quillon; grip wrapped with twisted wire of varying thickness, plain wire, and strips of metal; pierced ovoid pommel with an oval medallion with portrait bust on either side and capstan rivet; yellowish sheepskin scabbard with silver mounts consisting of throat with carrying ring, middle band with carrying ring, and tip with tiny ball finial.
