Sword with straight, evenly tapered, double-edged steel blade which is diamond-shaped in cross section; brass hilt with wooden grip wrapped with wire; knuckle-bow approximates the reverse P-type, with branch on obverse side joining a large rounded guard which is angled upward toward grips and bears the embossed figure of a running horse; short straight quillon with irregularly shaped ball finial; additional branch on the reverse side extends from knuckle-bow to a point near base of quillon; asymmetrical pommel with slightly flattened ball finial and an embossed crown on either side.
