engraved: on the arch: "MAF" in bright-cut script stamped: on the underside of an arm: "CHEDELL AUBURN" incuse and a star in a circle, bust(?) in a rectangle and an anchor in a rectangle
Silver bow-form sugar tongs with double-swell fiddle arms and hairy paw grips; arch engraved, "MAF" in bright-cut script; maker's marks stamped on the underside of an arm.
The tongs were donated by ancestors of the silversmith.
