Description:
silver sugar spoon with a downturned pointed handle with a beaded border and teh engraved initials, "EEG" in script; scalloped shell bowl; maker's marks stamped on the underside of the handle.
"Washington" pattern.
Gallery Label:
EEG is Emma Elizabeth Gilder (b. 1861), the aunt of the donor (Louise S. Gilder). Emma was a sister of Louise's father, William Howard Gilder (b. 1857, Maryland).
