Oval baluster shaped silver plated pewter sugar bowl with scrolled handles and domed lid with ball finial; applied medallion of bust and two laurel wreathes.

According to the donor, this sugar bowl and lid were used at French's hotel located at Park Row, New York City. Colonel Richard French, the donor's maternal grandfather, was the proprietor.
