Cobalt blue pattern-molded lead glass sugar bowl with cover; globular body with short curced galleried rim pattern-molded in rows of 12 diamonds with applied foot with pontil mark; conical cover pattern-molded in rows of 12 diamonds with applied baluster finial, pontil mark on interior.

This attribution of this object is difficult; attributed to England by George S. McKearin, it also has similarities to American and Scandinavian examples (see publications). While the wear on the base and rim are convincing, the tall lid and pattern-molding are similar to fakes made in the 20th century (see publications).
