Description:
Silver sugar bowl with lid; inverted pear-shaped body with eleven wide concave flutes seated on a circular stepped foot with an applied, die-rolled trefoil band; convex shoulder with an applied, die-rolled trefoil band raised to a tapered and flared neck; die-rolled trefoil band applied around the rim; stepped and domed lid with a cast floral finial screwed throught the center; two cast, in two halves, scroll handles with ivory insulators; engraved on the front center of the body, "M. A. Benedict;" maker's mark stamped on the base.
