Description:
Black painted metal storage box for epaulets; oval shape with half-cylindrical indentation at center front and back; hinged lid (now detached) with flat top and wire handle; contains miscellaneous uniform fragments (INV.8285a-e).

A tag attached to this object indicates that it once belonged to Philip Schuyler (1788-1865), who served as U.S. Consul at Liverpool, England, in 1841.
