Description:
Body and running gear painted black; trim, dark green broadcloth; wheels with wooden spokes, two-piece rims, iron tires, Collinge's axles; Stanhope springs. Accessories: square lamps, wheel wrench.

The Stanhope gig was designed in 1815 by the Hon. Fitzroy Stanhope. Popular for park driving & horse shows. May have 1 horse or a tandem. Driven by a gentleman.
