Silver plate souvenir spoon with image of sinking battleship "Maine" and American eagle on inside of bowl; handle finial with two full-length male figures facing one another (Uncle Sam and President McKinley?) with branches of laurel on either side and inscription, "March 9, 1898," below; stamped maker's mark on reverse.
