Reproduction miniature "Carver" armchair; chair back has three vertical spindles, front and rear posts with ball finials; chair has simulated rush seat with stretchers below.

This chair is a reproduction of one supposedly brought over on the Mayflower by John Carver, first Governor of Plymouth Colony. "Carver" chairs became a standard type of American 17th century chair and were often reproduced in the 20th century.
