Pan-American Exposition, Buffalo.
A number of the antique canes in the Grumet cane collection are souvenirs from World's Fairs. This cane was created for the 1901 Pan American Exposition in Buffalo. The pewter handle of the cane features a buffalo's head and incorporates a snuff box with a sliding cover. The handle also references nearby Niagara Falls, which had become one of the most popular tourist destinations in the country.
