Wrought brass snuffbox; ovoid box with straight sides and ogee ends; stepped base with straight sides above; hinged, stepped lid with a bezel and convex sides; foliate scroll engraving all around the sides and the convex portions of the lid and base; a street scene with three men engraved in the center of the lid, in a cartouche between two figures and above, "iK Soen Mynliefie Opfiet/ Kant" in script; a dock scene with a man and woman in front of a ship, engraved in the center of the base, in a cartouche between two figures and above, "en ik caneen Waa/ ter kant" in script.
