Pair of yellow leather wedding slippers; low wooden peg heels; pointed toes; seams across the instep and up the heel; lined with white cotton.
These slippers were worn by Cornelia de Peyster, daughter of Isaac and Maria (Van Ball) de Peyster, on October 12, 1712, when she married Oliver Stephen Teller (b. 1685), son of Andres and Sophia (Van Cortlandt) Teller. They may also have been worn by the donor on the occasion of her marriage, April 30, 1908.
