Description:
Upholstered rosewood slipper chair; high rectangular crook back with carved crest; seat rail and crest with foliate carving surrounding central bull's eye; cabriole legs with carved knees; squared rear legs; casters. Period floral upholstery.

According to the donor, this chair belonged to Christiana Stagg (1797-1893), who married John Mount on December 31, 1819.
