This button protests the expansion of St. Lawrence Cement, a large industrial plant located on the Hudson River in Greenport, New York. The company's expansion plans, including a 406 foot tall smokestack that would emit a plume over 6 miles long, caused a public outcry among environmentalists and preservationists and lawsuits against the cement company.
