Description:
Black-painted maple Queen Anne side chair; crook back with yoke-shaped crest rail and vase-shaped splat; trapezoidal splint seat with corner blocks; turned front legs with Spanish feet, turned front stretcher with ball between two reels, molded side stretchers and plain rear stretcher.

The donor purchased this chair from J. Salzburg of Ipswich, MA. The chair appears to retain an early coat of black paint.
