White cardboard matchbook printed in white and black; all the text on the matchcover is printed in black; "SHOEI / JAPANESE RESTAURANT / 27 W. 8th St. (Bet. 5th & 6th Aves.) / N.Y.C." is printed on the front below kanji text. "CLOSE COVER BEFORE STRIKING" is printed on the footer. A design emblem comprised of three coniferus trees within a circle is printed on the reverse above the striker; Printed on the manumark is "ENCORE SALES . NEW YORK".
