Bronze shoe buckle; rectangular frame with scrolled design on the two short sides.
This buckle was found in a box with material excavated or obtained by the Field Exploration Committee at Mount Independence, Vermont, at Louisbourg fortress on Cape Breton Island, Canada, and at Digby in Nova Scotia, Canada. It is unclear where the buckle was found. The buckle was probably a shoe buckle.
