Description:
Large porcelain circular two-lobed dish transfer-printed in underglaze blue with pine cones, pomegranates, and berries (the "pine cone" pattern) in center surrounded by flower sprays, butterflies, and an insect; broad rim decorated with blue printed floral sprays; circumference outlined with painted blue line.
Gallery Label:
Worcester had mastered and excelled in the manufacture of large flatware by the end of the 1760s and had no English contemporary equal.
