The four daughters of Frederick Schuchardt and Catherine Anna (Remsen) Schuchardt are portrayed in this picture. Amelia (ca. 1837-1915) married Robert Reade Stuyvesant on November 24, 1858. Elizabeth Remsen Schuchardt married Edward Delafield (1837-84), a member of the New York Stock Exchange, on October 3, 1861. Sarah Remsen Schuchardt (d. 1926) married Lawrence Wells; Mr. and Mrs. Wells were the parents of the donor. Anna F. Schuchardt (d. 1918) married Edward Leverich on February 13, 1873.
