Description:
Pair of silver sauce ladles with downturned oval handles with bright-cut and wheel-turned decoration and the engraved initials, "ER" in script; deep, circular bowls with rounded drops; maker's marks stamped on the undersides of the handles.
Gallery Label:
The ladles were probably made for Elizabeth Rhoads (1770-1796), who married Samuel Wharton Fisher (1764-1817) in Philadelphia in 1791.
