Description:
Vertical rectangular starched cotton unfinished sampler with various colors of wool yarn; horizontal rows of alphabets on top half, some separated by rows of design, random stitching and inscription in bottom half; stitched in cross and running stitches.

This sampler was made by Jessie Elizabeth Haw (1858-1934), daughter of Caspar Haw and his wife Hannah Valentine West.
