Object Number:
ca. 1912
Overall: 3 5/8 x 7/8 x 3/8 in. ( 9.2 x 2.2 x 1 cm )
stamped: on reverse: "TIFFANY & CO. STERLING M" (in rectangle)
Silver salt spoon with roughly circular gilt bowl, triangular handle, and modeled drop; stamped maker's mark on reverse. "Queen Anne" or "Faneuil" pattern.
Gallery Label:
The "Queen Anne" pattern was introduced by Tiffany in 1875-1876, and has an unknown designer. Because the design is not original it does not have a patent. It was inactive by 1904, and reactivated in 1907. In 1910 it was modified and reintroduced as the "Faneuil" pattern and is still active today.
