Rectangular Navajo blanket with wool weft and cotton warp; chevron pattern with parallel bars composed of triangles of alternating color; black, green, yellow, peach, turquoise, maroon, and chartreuse on red ground; small yarn tassel at each corner.
An old exhibition label found with this object identifies it as a "Navaho Indian blanket, made in New Mexico, early 19th century."
