Maroon-colored ribbon with metal pin-back bar above and hanging circular medallion below. Top pin-back reads "NEW JERSEY," and ribbon embossed with silver text: "29TH ANNUAL/ENCAMPMENT/Dep't of N. J./AT/ASBURY PARK, N. J./JUNE 18-19, 1896." Bottom yellow, paper medallion printed with an image of an eagle holding an American flag and a "GRAND ARMY OF THE REPUBLIC/VETERAN" badge, surrounded by the words "GRAND ARMY OF THE REPUBLIC."
