Central image of a silver eagle standing on cannons, a red, white and blue cloth American flag pasted below it, and a silver badge containing the words "GRAND ARMY OF THE RPUBLIC/1861 VETERAN 1866" below the flag. Above this image are the words "IN MEMORIAM," and below it is printed "RYERSON/Post, No. 77/New Jersey." Metal pin-back embossed with "G. A. R."
