Cream silk satin ribbon printed in black; depicts bust-length portrait of Harrison within oval medallion against mourning urn inscribed "HARRISON", American standards, hourglass, weeping willow, and eagle with banderole in its beak, inscribed: "OUR NATION MOURNS A HERO GONE"; inscription beneath: "GENl. WILLIAM HENRY HARRISON./Born at Berkley, Virginia, Feby. 9th. 1773./Inaugurated President of the United States, March 4th. 1841./DIED APRIL 4th. 1841, AGED 68 YEARS, 1 MO. 15 DAYS./The melancholy occasion solemnized at New York./APRIL 19th 1841."; beneath is image of fire department engine with inscription above: "FIRE DEPARTMENT".
