Description:
White cardboard matchbook printed in crème and brown on the matchcover is designed in an all around label printed over the saddle with eight silhouetted figures standing on a straight line above the text "THE RAVELLED SLEAVE"; this design runs perpendicular to the orientation of the matchcover; the figures are dressed in late nineteenth century clothing including trained dresses, introduced by designer Charles Frederick Worth, and fans on the two women and top hats on the men; "3rd at 79th / (212) 628-8814" is printed above the staple; “CLOSE COVER .. STRIKE ON BACK" is printed on the footer.
