Description:
Carved horn powder horn, with wooden cover over one end, carved with ribs around the edge, with metal loop at the center; horn decorated with Indian imagery; spout end carved with ribs, spout is wooden, with metal loop beneath.
Gallery Label:
This Iroquois powder horn was found in an Indian cache at Cayadutta Creek, near Johnstown in the Mohawk Valley. It is decorated with Inidian images from that region.
