A red folding packet that contains a set of souvenir postcards from the Soviet Pavillion of the 1939 World's Fair. The front reads in gold "The Pavilion [sic] Of The USSR/ New York World's Fair 1939/ 10 Souvenir Post Cards/ Intourist, Inc." Inside are 10 postcards: A photographic portrait of Josef Stalin, and on eof Vladimir Lenin, idealized photos of "Vacationers on the Shore of the Black Sea", the "Fountains at Peterof near Leningrad", the architect's "Model of the Pavilion of the U.S.S.R.", "Red Square in Moscow", folk dancers in traditional garb titled "Caucasian Dance Festival at Piatigorsk", "Svedlov or Theatre Square in Moscow", a sail boat by the "Kimky River Station on the Moscow- Volga", and lastly from the Intourist bureau, a "Tourist Travel Map of the Soviet Union" showing distances and major cities.
