Description:
Light green pressed glass plate with scalloped edge, pairs of leafy S-scrolls alternating with stylized flowers on stippled ground on rim, and rosette surrounded by circle of diamonds at center.
Gallery Label:
The lacy pattern of this plate is similar to that of early pressed glass (ca. 1830-1850); however, the thinness and evenness of the glass, the smoothness of the surface, and the lack of any sign of wear suggest that it is a later example.
