Molded scalloped edge creamware plate with hand painted profile busts of man and woman with orange tree between and border with rosette cartouches alternating with inscribed cartouches in red, green, black, and brown.
According to the donor, this plate is from the Beekman mansion, which was located on First Avenue and 51st Street; the donor is a descendant of the Beekman family. The plate depicts William, Prince of Orange, and his wife.
