Not manufactured during Clinton's era, probably from a memorial or historical celebration in his honor, or part of a collectible series of historical notables. George Clinton, (1739-1812); uncle of De Witt Clinton, born in Orange County, N.Y.; Delegate to Continental Congress from New York, 1775-76; Governor of New York, 1777-95, 1801-04; member of New York state assembly, 1800; Vice President of the United States, 1805-12; died in office 1812.
